EDMOND — Edmond Memorial standout catcher Colin Simpson will be an Oklahoma State Cowboy.

The Bulldog committed to OSU over the weekend and the Cowboys want to use the athlete as a catcher.

“He’s one of the best high school hitters I’ve ever seen,” Memorial head coach Kyle Roberts said. “He runs a 6.7, has a 1.9 pop time and the kid is a human backstop.”

Simpson, only a junior turned down a topflight scholarship from the University of Arkansas and Oklahoma was also interested in Simpson’s talents.
