Oklahoma Christian hangs on to 8-point conquest

TULSA — Tulsa Noah Christian rallied for two touchdowns in the final quarter to get within 22-14, but the final TD came with only 11 ticks left on the clock as Oklahoma Christian held on to an eight-point victory on the road Friday night.

The Saints led 16-zilch at intermission on a Jack Markmiller field goal, a Cameron James 19-yard pass from Will McKinnis and a blocked punt recovered in the end zone by James.

OCS led 22-0 on Luke Frankfurt’s five-yard run 10:17 to play in the third quarter.

Saint Connor Sikes caught a pair of passes for 75 yards and James brought in four for 41.

Oklahoma Christian’s Kyle Hardell and Kade VanMeter each picked off Noah passes and punter Jared Goff finished the evening with a 39.5 average.

The Saints play at Millwood next Friday.
