EDMOND — Three Edmond area athletes toted home some topnotch hardware from a National Underclassmen Combine held at Yukon High School on April 14.

Star running back Warren Wand of Edmond Memorial was the sophomore MVP and Combine King (best overall statistics).

Oklahoma Christian School’s Will McKinnis was the junior MVP at the quarterback position and teammate Cam James was the junior Combine King at running back. Both James and McKinnis were members of OCS’s 2012 state football championship squad.

Athletes competed mainly from Oklahoma but football players from Texas, Missouri and Kansas also participated in the combine in Yukon.

The trio have a solid opportunity to be chosen for the Top 100 Nationwide NUC to be held at the University of Oklahoma in July.
