COLLEGE STATION, Texas —
Oklahoma City University begins the 2013-14 women’s basketball season facing Edmond Santa Fe graduate Coutney Walker and her Texas A&M teammates in an exhibition 7 p.m. Nov. 3 in Reed Arena.
Texas A&M last met the Stars on Nov. 6, 2011, winning 84-63 in an exhibition at Reed Arena. OCU went on to win its sixth national championship that season.
“We are very excited to play such a talented team,” OCU coach Latricia Trammell said. “I have great respect for Gary Blair and his program. These are the type of games that will expose our weaknesses and better prepare our team for our regular-season games.”
Kayla MacKenzie leads the Stars’ returnees with 10.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.00 steals a game. MacKenzie, a senior from Peoria, Ariz., ranked second on the team with 41 3-pointers made.
