Memorial track and field teams win indoor meet at OU

EDMOND — The Edmond Memorial track and field teams took first place in both the girls and boys meets Friday during the Oklahoma High School Invitational at the University of Oklahoma.

The Lady Bulldogs scored 149 points to nearly double up second-place Santa Fe (82 points) and third-place Jenks (77).

The Memorial boys’ 133.5 points were 45.5 points better than Santa Fe (88 points); the Jenks boys were also third (61 points.)

The Memorial girls took individual championships by Rosetta Galbraith in the 60 meter hurdles and the 200 meter dash and Christina Wright in the 800 meter run.

The Santa Fe girls got individual titles from Wisby in the 400 meter dash and the 4 x 400 meter relay team.

The Memorial boys won individual titles at Bryce Robinson in the 200 meter dash, Simon Greiner in the 1600 meter run, the 4 x 200 meter relay team, the 4 x 400 meter relay team and the 4 x 800 meter relay team.

The Santa Fe boys took personal championships from Korey Eakers in the 400 meter dash and Josiah Hunter in the high jump.

Edmond Memorial will host another indoor meet at the University of OKlahoma on Friday.
