Though Putnam West outlasted Edmond North and Harrison Stoddart’s 20 points with an 88-54 victory Tuesday night at Edmond North High School, the Huskies won their previous two contests 76-63 at Yukon and 62-47 at home against Putnam City. North will next play at Mustang Monday.
In the swaying conquest over Putnam City Jan. 17, Stoddart swatted 11 Pirate shots, snatched 10 rebounds and hit 16 points for a triple-double.
Edmond North overtook Putnam City in the second quarter and never looked back as Husky guard Marques Wilson passed out 12 assists and tallied 11 points for a double-double.
Teammate Tyson Anderson was sizzling from the field, knocking home 5-of-7 3-pointers and 7-of-10 overall for a game-high 20 points. Kevin Galloway contributed nine rebounds and nine points.
In the Yukon triumph Jan. 14, Stoddart pumped in 25 points on 9-for-15 shooting, blocked eight shots and grabbed seven rebounds.
Galloway shot 70 percent from the floor, including a 2-for-2 showing behind the 3-point arc for 18 points and added seven assists. Anderson also hit double digits, going for 14 points on 5-of-8 tries (2-for-2 3s).
Wilson used pinpoint passing again, divying out nine assists. Fellow Husky Brock Butler shot 3-for-4 from the field for seven points and teammate Mark Piatt chipped in four points and eight rebounds.
North led by 26 points heading into the final frame to ease to the win.
