CHISHOLM — The Class 2A defending state champion Oklahoma Christian Saints powered by Chisholm on the road Friday night, winning an opening-round playoff contest 35-7. The Saints (8-3) advance to face the victor of the Marietta/Lindsay contest.

OCS hit the board twice in the first stanza, and that is all the Saints needed as they cruised to victory.

The opening-quarter scores were explosive runs by Luke Frankfurt and Thomas Qualls, covering 53 and 36 yards respectively. Frankfurt destroyed the now 9-2 Chisholm defense, ripping off 208 yards rushing and four touchdowns. He also found the end zone from 34, 23 and 12 yards out.

Quallls added 71 yards on the ground and in all, Oklahoma Christian wound up with 298 yards rushing.

Saint kicker Jack Markmiller was an untarnished 5-for-5 on extra-point kicks.
