The Edmond Sun
Edmond Santa Fe is nails on the volleyball court.
The Lady Wolves are now a robust 29-1 after sweeping McGuinness and Yukon on the road since Saturday.
The Wolfpack ate up the Irish in three straight games (25-18, 25-12, 25-17) before doing the same thing to Yukon Tuesday, with all three games being won by a 25-17 count.
“They were both good wins,” said Santa Fe coach Will Ethridge. “Both teams have talented players. We need to be better over the next few weeks if we want to continue this run into the postseason.”
Over those two contests, Jordan Spence accumulated 23 kills, had an attack percentage of .749 and blocked seven shots for Santa Fe. Teammates Kaleo Kanahele provided five aces and Taylor Horton wound up with 34 set assists. Baleigh Murphy recorded 14 digs.
Santa Fe plays at Norman North today at 6 p.m. before hosting Putnam North on Sept. 30.
