Deer Creek jumped on the Guymon Tigers so fast, they must have known it was going to be a long trip back home.
The Antlers improved to 4-2 by blitzing Guymon, 48-zilch and led 31-nothing at the end of the opening quarter.
“Up front we really did a good job,” said Deer Creek head coach Grant Gower. “We pretty much controlled the line of scrimmage defensively. The defense played very well.
“Linebackers played well.
“They’re always around the ball.”
The Antlers’ three inside backers include Cole Pacheco, Blake Landon and John Keeth.
Deer Creek limited Guymon to just 68 total offensive yards, 1-for-11 passing for 23 yards and 35 runs for 45 yards.
