EDMOND —
The Edmond Santa Fe volleyball team got another big win at home Friday night.
The fourth-ranked Wolves defeated No. 9 Jenks 25-22, 25-16, 27-25.
“Last time we played them it was a grueling five-set win. This time we played with more consistency and closed games out a little better,” Santa Fe coach Will Ethridge said.
The Wolves were led by Baleigh Murphy with 4 aces, Erika Warren with 10 kills, Hannah Naylor with a .500 hitting percentage, Jordan Spence with 4 blocks, Kaleo Kanahele with 35 assists and Mandy Dolph with 11 digs.
The win moves Santa Fe to 20-10 on the season.
“That win should have locked us into the No. 4 seed position heading into post season play,” Ethridge said.
Santa Fe will wind down the regular season on the road at No. 11 Norman North Tuesday night.
Thursday starting at 4:30 p.m. Santa Fe will host a West regional featuring the Wolves, Putnam City North, Lawton Ike and Southmoore.
