EDMOND —
The Edmond North Lady Huskies allowed zero points in the second quarter against Putnam City Tuesday night en route to a 33-18 win.
The entire first half of play was defensive-minded, as the teams combined for just three field goals. At the half, North held an 8-4 lead.
By comparison, the second half started with an offensive flurry, as the Lady Huskies doubled their point total, on jump shots by Kaitlyn Peterson and inside work by Alex Wiedenmann, with less than four minutes gone in the third quarter. They led 20-9 going into the final frame.
Five Lady Huskies scored in the fourth quarter to combat nine points from PC, giving Edmond North the 33-18 win.
