The Deer Creek boys' cross country picked up another first-place finish this season, as they won the Oklahoma Baptist University Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Antlers easily won the Class 5A and 6A boys run with 30 points, while Midwest City came in second with 76.
Deer Creek had four runners finish in the top 10. Dakota Buck led the charge, finishing second overall with a time of 17:08. Aaron White was fourth, William Kwendi placed sixth and Taler Buck was ninth.
Slater Pennington, Heath Boyd and Michael Alberts each finished in the top 20.
Hillarie Kessler led the way for the Lady Antlers squad, which placed fifth in the 5A-6A girls’ race. The junior completed the course in 12:25, behind defending state champion Katelin Cherry of Westmoore, who won with a time of 12:14. Lantana McGraw finished 31st and Makenna Rickner was 34th.
Westmoore won the girls' race with 34 points.
Deer Creek will return to action Saturday in the OSU Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater.
