The Edmond North wrestlers got their dual season off to a strong start on Tuesday night at Putnam City North. The Huskies picked up eight pins and one technical fall as they trounced the Panthers, 57-21.
Phillip Flaherty (103), Sam Eccles (119), Jordan McGuire (130) and Ryan Hanson (189) each won their matches by fall in the first round.
Also winning by fall for the Huskies was Hunter Bright (119), Austin Schafer (140), Kyle Hormann (160) and Clint Ellis (215).
Josh Durham (125) beat PC North’s Connor Adam by technical fall, and Matt Muhlinghause (135) came away with a 14-6 major decision win over Logan Lax.
The Huskies will be back in action on Dec. 11 when they host Yukon for their home opener.
