The Edmond North girls defense came up big again on Friday night as they knocked off Choctaw for the second time in the past week. The No. 8-ranked Lady Huskies held Choctaw to just 15 points in the first half, and came away with a 56-46 win on the road.
“Defensively we were really solid, I liked our effort and our attitude,” North coach Kevin Korstjens said. “Anytime you go to someone else’s house and win that’s really good, especially against a solid team like that.”
Elizabeth Donohoe led the way for North with 21 points and nine rebounds. Anna Kimsey finished with nine points and two rebounds and Tiara Dewberry scored eight points and pulled down three rebounds.
The Lady Huskies beat No. 16-ranked Choctaw on Jan. 10 to win the East Central Classic.
North will be back in action Tuesday night when they head to Santa Fe to take on the Lady Wolves.
