The No. 3-ranked Edmond North girls brought their defensive game on the road Tuesday night as they knocked off Choctaw 56-35.
“That was our first real road game and we knew it was going to be a physical one going to Choctaw,” North coach Kevin Korstjens said. “We did a great job on defense and rebounding. They were averaging 32 rebounds a game and we held them to 18, so I was pleased with that.”
Elizabeth Donohoe led the Lady Huskies with 17 points and seven rebounds. TaNita Dewberry had a double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds and Emily Davis added 10 points and four boards.
The Lady Huskies held Choctaw to just 14 points in the first half and led by six at the break. They later pulled away with a 19-point effort in the third quarter.
North is off until next Tuesday when they take on Yukon.
