EDMOND — Caleb Eldridge’s baseball career has attracted the attention of highly-sought-after athletic programs at Division I universities.

Eldridge has verbally committed to play baseball at Oklahoma State University. He has committed to OSU because he wants to be part of their program that includes new coaches Josh Holiday, Marty Lees and Rob Walton. Eldridge is a junior at Deer Creek High School and is expected to graduate May 2014.

Eldridge currently plays first base, outfield and pitcher at Deer Creek and is projected to play first base and outfield at OSU. He has been named 2013 Under Armor All-America and 2013 Perfect Game All-America honorable mention.

“It feels like family at OSU and he wants to be part of that tradition,” said Steve Eldridge, Caleb’s Eldridge father.

Eldridge also has received offers from the University of Arkansas, Wichita State, Oklahoma City University, and Seminole State. He has received interest from Kansas State University and the University of Oklahoma.
