Edmond teams 3 of 4 in state volleyball semifinals

EDMOND — Edmond’s volleyball teams swept their first-round state tournament games Friday at Shawnee High School.

Santa Fe topped Stillwater 3-1, Memorial topped Union in three sets, and North swept Owasso in three sets.

Bishop Kelley topped Broken Arrow in three sets to take the final semifinal spot.

The Wolves will play Kelley at 9 a.m. Saturday at Westmoore High School.

The Bulldogs and Huskies will square off immediately thereafter, at 10:45 a.m.

The state championship match is set for 4:15 p.m. Saturday at Westmoore.

Santa Fe is 0-1 against Kelley this year.

Memorial and North are 2-2 against each other this year, with the Bulldogs winning twice in five sets and the Huskies winning twice in straight sets.

Edmond North is the only school in the state to beat defending champion Bishop Kelley this season, 3-1 on the road Aug. 30.
