Saints drop double nickel, lock up district

EDMOND — The Oklahoma Christian School Saints locked up the District 2A-2 title with a 55-0 pasting of Northeast Academy Thursday night on the road.

The Saints scored 27 points in the opening quarter and 21 points in the second stanza before calling off the dogs in the second half.

The Saints defense held Northeast to minus-six yards rushing and 49 yards through the air. OCS defenders picked off two Northeast passes.

OCS rushed for 239 yards on the ground and 195 through the air as running back Luke Frankfurt racked up 130 yards rushing and a score and quarterback Austin Brooks threw for six touchdowns.

Blake Barnes was Brooks’ top target, reeling in three receptions for 101 yards and three touchdowns. Connor Sikes, Cole Peak and Will McKinnis each caught a TD pass as well. Garrett Kilborn caught three balls for 20 yards and had a 10-yard touchdown run.

OCS will host Luther at 7:30 p.m. Friday to end the season.
