The Edmond Sun
Fourth-ranked Edmond Memorial traveled west up 15th Street to meet No. 1 Santa Fe on the volleyball court Monday night and the Lady Wolves lived up to their top-ranked billing.
Santa Fe won in three games — 25-23, 25-21, 25-7 — to continue its winning ways.
“It was a hard-fought match, good crowd and lots of excitement,” an up-tempo Santa Fe head coach Will Ethridge stated after the bout.
“I thought both teams were a little sloppy. I know we have played 16 matches in 11 days — that’s a lot of volleyball.”
The Wolves will next play in Owasso Thursday evening.
Aerial Jackson sported a .500 attack percentage for Santa Fe and teammate Taylor Horton supplied four aces and 16 assists.
Also for the Lady Wolfpack, Jordan Spence racked up 10 kills and four blocks. Fellow Wolf Bailey Otto also had 10 kills while Samantha Ethridge and Kaitlyn Dillon came away with a dozen digs each.
