OCS drops opener, 19-17

EDMOND — The OCS Saints fought a good battle, but it wasn’t enough in their Friday night loss to Metro Christian 19-17.

Quarterback Jack Warren went 15-27 passing on the night for 153 yards and one touchdown, a 20-yard shot to Logan Magill in the fourth quarter. Warren also scored a 35-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a two point conversion pass to Magill.

The large crowd on hand at OCS saw a tough matchup with solid play from both sides of the field.

OCS’ Magill lead the team defensively with 14 tackles. Cody Haines and Clyde Jasper were right behind Magill with 13 tackles each. Jasper had to leave the game in the fourth quarter due to an arm injury.

OCS kicker Keegan Carter hit a 32-yard field goal in the second quarter.

OCS will travel to Casady Friday night.
