Special to The Sun

EDMOND — The Edmond Santa Fe swim teams finished their dual season in dominating fashion as they defeated all three Lawton Schools in Lawton Tuesday night.

For the girls, Sara Riggs was a double event winner as she took the 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle events. Jenny Ancik won the 100 Butterfly and Brittney Le the 200 Individual Medley for the 10th-ranked Lady Wolves. Santa Fe dominated the relay events, winning the 200 Medley Relay with the team of Riggs, Christin Bianchi, Ancik and Jill Colley, the 200 Free Relay with Le, Bianchi, Colley and Jessica Landwehr, and the 400 Free Relay with Ancik, Landwehr, Le and Riggs.

For the ninth-ranked boys, Mahlik Davis won the 100 Breaststroke, and Colton Laramore and Brandon Le each won two events, with Laramore winning the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Freestyle, and Le taking the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. They joined Tommy Stewart and Tanner Bailey to win the 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay.

“I am really happy for this group,” said coach Steve Riggs. “They have learned how to win tough dual meets, and I believe that it will carry over into the championship meets we have coming up.”

Next for the Wolves is the Edmond City Championships Tuesday night at the Oklahoma Christian University pool.
