EDMOND — All-Edmond Player of the Year

Drew Dahlberg - Memorial

In his three years as a starter for the Bulldogs, Drew Dahlberg’s work ethic never came in to question.

The shortstop showed his dedication by stepping up with a strong senior campaign hitting .457 with 18 doubles, 2 triples and 35 RBIs. A stalwart at the plate, he struck out only 17 times last spring.

To most hardballers the numbers are important, but Dahlberg wasn't one to check the stats. "All he cared about was our team winning," Memorial head coach Kyle Roberts said. "he wasn't caught up in his individual success."

Dahlberg had the green light to steal bases and took full advantage only getting caught once on 34 attempts.

As the team leader, Dahlberg demonstrated his skills in the field also. His exceptional range and lateral movement helped him glove a .919 fielding percentage with 52 putouts and 85 assists.

Dahlberg will play for Sunny Golloway this spring at the University of Oklahoma.
