About 120 members of the Oklahoma National Guard are back in their home state.
Eighty soldiers with the 834th Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Company returned Sunday to Tulsa after an eight-month deployment in Iraq.
Escorted by members of the Patriot Guard motorcycle group, the troops arrived at the Army's Aviation Facility just after 1 p.m. The troops served at Balad Air Base north of Baghdad.
A separate ceremony was held Sunday in Lexington for 40 members of the 2nd Battalion, 149th General Support Aviation outfit.
The 834th did not return as it left. Three of the troops with the Lexington battalion, along with four soldiers from the Texas Army National Guard, were killed Sept. 18 when their helicopter crashed in southeastern Iraq.
