Man shoots self at motel

— Norman police have identified a man who may have been linked to a stolen pickup truck then killed himself at a west Norman motel as 27-year-old Aaron Michael French.
Capt. Leonard Judy says an officer spotted a white pickup truck in the back lot of the Super 8 Motel around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The truck was reported stolen recently in a robbery in Oklahoma City.
Judy says when police saw a man leave the truck and walk into the motel they followed him and found him inside a restroom near the indoor pool.
He says French shot himself as officers tried to talk to him.
