EDMOND — Today is the last day of bell ringing and The Salvation Army is asking for you to dig a little deeper in your pocket and help make someone’s life a little easier.

“Our kettle campaign nationwide has had challenges with a late Thanksgiving and winter weather,” said Jeanean South, director of development for The Salvation Army in the Central Oklahoma Area Command.

She is asking for donors to please consider giving a little more this Christmas in their online red kettle. Donations will be used within the area they are given.

“Donations are designated in your community based on your billing zip code,” South said. “Please give a Christmas present that helps all year providing a warm place to sleep, food to eat, clothes to wear, Christmas presents to unwrap, and the joy, hope and love that comes from God and you!”
