Special to The Sun
High school seniors and family members will be on campus at Northwestern Oklahoma State University for Freshman Connection on April 17. This day is designed for students who are planning to attend the university in fall 2013.
Morning and afternoon sessions will begin in the Student Center. Students will have the opportunity to see the campus, meet with faculty and enroll early for the fall semester. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at noon. The afternoon session will begin with registration at 1:30 p.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m.
The sessions include registration, campus welcome, advisement/enrollment time, placement testing and an optional parent panel in the morning. Lunch in the cafeteria may be purchased for $5 per person.
Before students can enroll they must complete an application for admission and pay the $15 application fee, provide a copy of their seven-semester high school transcript and provide proof of ACT scores.
“Anyone considering attending Northwestern should attend Freshman Connection,” said Carly Williams, director of recruitment. “It is an incredible opportunity to meet with an adviser, get questions answered and put together your college course schedule.”
For planning purposes, students are encouraged to register early online at www.nwosu.edu/freshman-connection, but walk-in registration is welcome on the day of the event.
