A hit-and-run call in Edmond involving a stolen vehicle ended with a crash, foot pursuit and arrest in Oklahoma City, police said.
Edmond Police Department spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said the agency responded to a call that came in at about 4:24 p.m. Monday about a non-injury hit-and-run crash in the vicinity of the Interstate 35 Circle K store.
The victim got in a vehicle and pursued the offending vehicle, which left Edmond’s jurisdiction before city officers located it, Monroe said. Edmond officers are investigating the hit-and-run crash, Monroe said.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Betsy Randolph said the vehicle crashed in Oklahoma City at Interstate 35 and 29th Street, where it appears it was traveling too fast for the ramp.
Two juveniles exited the vehicle and fled on foot until a trooper at the scene chased them down and took them into custody, Randolph said. No injuries were reported and the juveniles were being questioned, Randolph said.
Randolph said the vehicle was reported stolen out of Kansas and the two juveniles were reported missing out of Kansas as well.
Further details about the incident including the gender and age of the juveniles were not immediately available.
