Traffic stop leads to drug bust in Panhandle

Texas County authorities say a New Mexico man was arrested on drug complaints after officers found marijuana in his car following a traffic stop.

Guymon — GUYMON, Okla. (AP) — Texas County authorities say a New Mexico man was arrested on drug complaints after officers found marijuana in his car following a traffic stop.



A probable cause affidavit says 21-year-old Michael Herrera was arrested for trafficking an illegal drug within 2,000 feet of a school or park.



The affidavit says Herrera was stopped on U.S. Highway 54 and gave officers permission to search his car. Investigators say they found 29.1 pounds of marijuana in bags inside a a coat and bags in the spare tire well of the car.
