Shots fired in police pursuit

TULSA, Okla. — TULSA, Okla. (AP) � A Bixby police officer fired multiple shots at a fleeing vehicle during a pursuit that stretched from Bixby to Tulsa.



A man and a woman were taken into custody after the pursuit Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.



Police said a Bixby officer stopped a white Ford pickup truck for a traffic violation about 8 a.m.



As the officer approached the vehicle, the truck sped off. The officer got back in his patrol car and pursued the truck.



The truck was involved in a small collision. It jumped a curb and lost a tire and the Bixby officer fired numerous shots at the truck.



Police took the couple into custody after they ran from the truck behind a shopping area.
