Edmond student receives Military Children Program scholarship

EDMOND — Mary Kate Miller of Edmond is a recipient of a $1,500 college scholarship awarded at Tinker Air Force Base for Military Children Program winners. The scholarship was funded through Reynolds Consumer Products. Mary Kate plans to enroll at Oklahoma State University. Her school and community activities include: Spears Scholar Leaders, Honors College, Business Student Council, Chi Omega and Life Church.

The Scholarships for Military Children Program was initiated in 2000 to award scholarships to graduating high school seniors or college-enrolled students and is open to qualified sons and daughters of members of the U.S. Armed Services including active duty, retirees, guard/reserves, as well as children of deceased military personnel.
