Langston —
Langston University recently kicked off its United Way of Logan County campaign with the placement of a United Way thermometer at the entrance to the University.
“We at Langston University are proud to be a United Way supporter.” said LU President Kent Smith. “We are pleased to be a partner with the United Way in raising funds so that those in our county who are in need will be able to find some relief.
“As an academic institution we are focused on education, but we are also mindful of providing assistance to our surrounding communities. Our support of United Way of Logan County is one way to help make our neighboring communities stronger, one way to provide a helping hand to those community residents in need. We are pleased to be a part of this effort.”
For more information concerning the United Way of Logan County or to make a contribution, contact Ashleigh Sorrell Rose at 523-3525 or by email at asorrellrose@unitedwayokc.org.
