UCO student flutist advances to regional
University of Central Oklahoma senior music major and flutist Delara Hashemi recently won the state level Music Teacher National Association competition in the Young Artist Woodwind category, advancing her to the division finals on Jan. 13 in Arkadelphia, Ark.

UCO professor receives $135,000 research grant
Jicheng Fu, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Oklahoma, recently received an Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology grant of $135,000 to conduct research in developing intelligent robotic assistance for young wheelchair users with severe motor impairments.
