EDMOND — St. Mary’s Cathedral in Austin, Texas was the setting for the May 30, 2009 wedding of Lily Ann Paquett of Austin, formerly of Edmond, Okla. and John Philip Oberg also of Austin, and formerly of South Pasadena, Calif. The ceremony was officiated by Father Daniel Lieu and Father Kevin Ratterman.
The bride is the daughter of Arthur and Patricia Paquett of Austin, former residents of Edmond. The groom is the son of Carolyn Rondeau and the late David Rondeau of South Pasadena, Calif.
The matron of honor was Whitney White Almon of New Orleans, La. Bridesmaids were Mary Claire (Sobieck) Howe of Colombia, Mo., Karen (Rondeau) Snedden of San Diego, Calif., Ashley (Henkel) Lilly of London, England and Susie (Yang) Turk of Austin.
The best man was Jeff Turk of Austin. Groomsmen were John Snedden of San Diego, Chris Shonk, Frank Fernandez and Chris Carmouche, all of Austin.
Serving as ushers were Jonathan Cavazos of New Braunfels, Texas, and Colin Nix, Jeff Judy, Hugo Silva and Eric Schiedler, all of Austin.
The flower girl was Elle Oberg of Austin, and the ring bearer was Van Oberg also of Austin.
The wedding reception was held at The Driskill Hotel in Austin.
After a honeymoon trip to the Greek Islands, the couple reside in Austin.
A 1996 graduate of Edmond North High School, Lily graduated from Texas A&M University in 2000. She is the owner of Spring Environmental, Inc. and the groom is employed as an Executive Coach business consultant.
