EDMOND —
The beach at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico was the romantic setting for the July 27, 2012 wedding of Holly Roselyn Yocum of Edmond, Okla., and Galen Cole Abbott of Traverse City, Mich.
The groom’s grandfather, Jim Maxwell, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Hal and Maryjo Yocum of Edmond. The groom is the son of Rebecca and Greg Abbott of Traverse City.
The matron of honor was Heather Yocum of Longmont, Colo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sara Hummell, Megan Hoffman and Dr. Lauren Draper, all of Tulsa.
The best man was Caleb Abbott of Traverse City, brother of the groom.
The groomsmen were David Benson of Detroit, Mich., and Sonny Yocum, of Edmond.
Sara Jane Benson was the flower girl and Jack Benson was the ring bearer.
After a reception on the beach of Moon Palace Resort, the newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon at Cancun.
The couple have made their home in Edmond, where the bride is a dental hygiene student at the University of Oklahoma and the groom is employed by Cox Communications.
