Kate Beasley and Jake Milligan

EDMOND —     Kate Beasley and Jake Milligan, both of Portland, Ore., exchanged wedding vows August 10, 2013, in front of a magnificent ponderosa pine tree at Ainsworth House and Gardens in Oregon City, Ore.

    The ceremony was officiated by Duncan Zevetsky of Portland, a close friend of the couple.

    The bride is the daughter of Russell Beasley and Anne Donovan, both of Norman, Okla.

    The groom is the son of Steve and Lisa Milligan of Fayetteville, Ark., formerly of Edmond.

    The maid of honor was Emily Beasley of Tulsa, Okla., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julia and Chelsea Beasley of Norman, sisters of the bride; Brandi Brooks of Oklahoma City, Okla., Jessica Nabavizadeh of Portland and Kelley Milligan of Fairfax, Va.

    The best man was Sam Milligan of Washington, DC, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Todd Kitchen of Oklahoma City, Ray Thomson of Ashland, Ore., Megan Borg of Portland, Corbin Theisen of Oklahoma City and Nima Nabavizadeh of Portland.

    Ray Thomson performed the song, “Jake and Kate”during the ceremony.

    Nieces Skylar and Jessie Worst of Virginia were the flower girls. The ring bearer was Mason Wort of Virginia. Nephew Ian Worst of Virginia attended the Friends and Family Thumbprint Tree.

    The wedding reception took place at the Ainsworth House and Gardens reception venue in Oregon City.

    After a honeymoon trip to San Diego and San Francisco, Calif., the newlyweds have made their home in Portland, where the bride is a registered nurse for Legacy Hospitals and Medical Centers and the groom is an engineering student at Portland State University.
