EDMOND —
Heather Maryjo Yocum and James Robert Schwendeman, both of Edmond, Okla. were united in marriage August 2, 2010 at the Evergreen Lakehouse in Evergreen, Colo. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Jason Watkins.
The bride is the daughter of Hal and Maryjo Yocum of Edmond, and the groom is the son of Steve and Becky Schwendeman, also of Edmond. Heather and James are both 2001 graduates of Edmond Santa Fe High School.
The maid of honor was Holly Yocum of Edmond. Becky Jobes, of Denver, Colo., served as the bridesmaid.
The best man was Wes Calvert of Oklahoma City, Okla. and groomsmen were Derek Parks of Golden, Colo., and Eric Reitze of Littleton, Colo.
Ushers were Alex Thysell of Pelican Rapids, Minn., and Michael Moritz of Bluff City, Tenn.
Gretta Gibbons of Denver, Colo. and Alyvia Watkins of East Lansing, Mich., served as the flower girls. Sean Gibbons, also of Denver, was the ring bearer.
The wedding party and guests enjoyed a reception at the Evergreen Lakehouse.
The bride and groom enjoyed a honeymoon at Glenwood Springs, Colo. and have made their home in East Lansing, Mich.
Heather is obtaining her PhD at Michigan State University, and James is a mechanical engineer at Lectronix in Lansing, Mich.
