EDMOND —
The historic Pawnee Bath House in Pawnee, Okla., was the setting for the 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2012, wedding of Cassie Raye Birdwell of Stillwater, Okla., and Blake Robert Braden of Edmond, Okla. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Kent Sampson, elder of the Church of Christ in Stillwater.
The bride is the daughter of Suzanne and Richard Birdwell of Stillwater, and the granddaughter of John and Jean Owen of Willow, Okla., and Bobby and Billie Birdwell of Stillwater.
The groom is the son of Vicki and Boyd Braden of Ponca City, and the grandson of Bob and Sue Myers of Edmond, and Frank and Carole Braden of Horatio, Ark.
The maid of honor was Rebecca Birdwell of Stillwater, younger sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Shondra Fischer of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Sara Roberts of Pawnee, friends of the bride.
The guestbook attendants were Jaybree Wood of Morrison and Lynsey Medlin of Paradise, Texas.
The best man was Brett Braden of Ponca City, younger brother of the groom. Groomsmen were T.J. Tole of Houston, Texas, and Gary Wehunt II of Fairfax, Okla.
Ushers were Kelly Hartl of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Rolla Forcum of Moore, Okla.
Following the wedding, a reception hosted by the Birdwell and Braden families was held on the grounds of the Pawnee Bath House.
The newlyweds have planned a honeymoon trip in August to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The bride is completing her accounting degree at Oklahoma State University and plans to graduate in December.
The groom is assistant director of EMS at Cashion, Okla. He will complete his classes in December for a paramedic certificate from Oklahoma City Community College.
The couple has made their home in Edmond.
