EDMOND —
The Crossings Community Church Chapel in Oklahoma City, Okla. was the setting for the July 3, 2010 wedding of Brenden Carruth Durrett formerly of Edmond, Okla. to Heath Sean Ivy formally of Mustang, Okla. The ceremony was officiated by Heath’s cousin, Crossings minister Kyle Plemons.
The bride is the daughter of Jackie and Patti Durrett of Edmond. She is the granddaughter of the late Thomas Brandon and Edith J. Carruth of Shawnee, Okla. and the late Luther and Louise Durrett of Crockett, Texas.
Brenden is a 2004 graduate of Edmond Memorial High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma State University in May 2010. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and is presently employed at the Quail Creek Golf & Country Club of Oklahoma City.
The groom is the son of Gary and Cynthia Ivy of Mustang. Heath is the grandson of Nadine Wolever-Gill of Yukon, Okla. and the late Don Wolever; Mr. and Mrs. Dolan Gills of Oklahoma City, and Betty Ivy and the late Mr. Elroy Ivy of Yale.
A 2003 Mustang High School graduate, Heath is currently employed with Thomas Brother’s Produce Company serving as a sales representative and customer service liaison.
The maid of honor was Katelyn Hall of Edmond. Bridesmaids were her sister-in-law, Rebecca Brown Durrett of Rowlett, Texas and the groom’s sister, Heather Lassley; and sorority sisters Beth Hamilton, Jessica Dukes, and Emily Stroud.
The best man was John Flottman of Oklahoma City. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Darren J. Durrett; the groom’s brother-in-law, Ross Lassley; and the groom’s cousins, Pat Wheatley, Jared Wolever, and Landon Sherwood.
Ushers were Joshua Wolever and Tim Ivy. Programs and guest book attendants were Jeff O’Bannon, Andrew O’Bannon and Katherine Lafferrandre. The reader was Larissa Sherwood and the flower bearers were Jocelyn Stephens and Gary Lassley. Martha Speakman of Albuquerque, N.M. was vocalist, and the organist and pianist was Patrick Hayes of Crossings Community Church.
A wedding reception was held at the Quail Creek Golf & Country Club. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean and visited Montego Bay, Jamaica, the Cayman Island, and Cozumel, Mexico. They have made their home in Oklahoma City.
