EDMOND —     The First United Methodist Church in Springfield, Ill., was the setting for the May 10, 2013 wedding of Megan Laura Loehrke and Curtis Eiji Nelson, both of Springfield. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Bob Swickard.

    The bride is the daughter of Craig and Mary Loehrke of Edmond, Okla. The groom is the son of Thomas and Susan Nelson of Springfield.

The matron of honor was Bethany Bourne, the bride’s sister, of Dakota Dunes, S.D. Bridesmaids were Elisabeth Klarqvist of Roseville, Minn., Amy Myers of Moncure, N.C., Diana Loehrke of Jenks, Okla., and Lynette Nelson of Houston, Texas.

    The best man was Thomas Suchy of Albuquerque, N.M.  Groomsmen were Gergory Nelson and Christopher Nelson of Springfield, Ryan Nelson of Houston and Adam Suchy of Washington, DC.

    Ushers were Justin Barringer, William Mosher and Jacob Venegonia, all of Springfield, Matthew Bryant of Phoenix, Ariz. and Joshua Loehrke of Jenks.

    The flower girls were Sarah Loehrke of Jenks, Annie Bourne and Callie Bourne of Dakota Dunes. The ring bearer was Joben Nelson of Houston, Texas.

    The wedding reception was at Erin’s Pavilion at Southwind Park in Springfield.

    After a honeymon cruise to the Mediterranean, the newlyweds have made their home in Springfield where the bride is a cost accountant and the groom is an administrator.
