OHCE offers ‘Growing and Using Herbs’ workshop

Special to The Sun

OKLA. CITY — Residents who are interested in learning to grow and use herbs around the house should plan on attending this workshop. The Oklahoma Home and Community Education seminar will be at 9:30 a.m. March 27 at the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service, 930 N. Portland, Oklahoma City. This workshop will be sponsored by the OHCE organization and is open to interested residents free of charge.

Lori Coats, herb grower and workshop presenter, said, “This is a workshop that dispels the mystery and confusion surrounding the world of herbs.”

At this workshop you will enjoy a broad, instructional overview about growing, preserving, cooking and crafting with a variety of herbs.

“You will leave with practical answers concerning which plants to purchase at your local garden center and how to actually use them in your kitchen,” Coats said.
