Visitors soak up the arts in downtown Edmond

EDMOND — The Downtown Edmond Business Association will continue its 35th Annual Arts Festival in historic downtown Edmond from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event, which is free to the public, will feature more than 100 artists and live entertainment. Hundreds visited the festival’s opening day Friday under clear skies and moderate temperatures.

Other activities during this family-friendly event include face painting, inflatables and a sidewalk chalk art activity. Area food vendors also will be on hand to serve the public.

This year the Arts Festival will benefit Lilyfield Christian Adoption and Foster Care, an organization that provides comprehensive services to women in unplanned pregnancies, couples wishing to grow their families through adoption and foster families and children. Lilyfield will have a booth at the Arts Festival and will be selling chances to win a gift basket with various items from downtown Edmond merchants.
