Each Edmond blood donor earns 4 OKC Zoo tickets

EDMOND — Each donor at upcoming Edmond-area blood drives with Oklahoma Blood Institute will receive four admissions to the Oklahoma City Zoo. Anyone who is 16 years and older is urged to give at these locations:

• INTEGRIS Health Edmond; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and

• Oak Cliff Fire Department, 13425 S. Bryant; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 31. Free hot dogs also will be provided for all donors by the fire department.

Donors with Oklahoma Blood Institute exclusively provide blood needed by patients in all Oklahoma City-metro area hospitals and some 150 other medical facilities across the state.

Summer “FEEL COOL” T-shirts also will be given to donors. If preferred, a donor can forgo the T-shirt to enable support of Global Blood Fund. For each donor who chooses this option, a contribution to GBF will be made by Oklahoma Blood Institute. GBF is a nonprofit that provides blood center technology and supplies to struggling blood centers across the world, so they can meet local needs through voluntary blood donation.

All donors receive free health screenings and Donor Reward Points, redeemable online for gift cards and apparel.
