4 Edmond apartment residents report burglaries

EDMOND — Burglaries in which a number of flatscreen TVs were reported taken Monday from four apartments in two Edmond complexes kept officers busy, police said.

Jenny Monroe, spokeswoman for the Edmond Police Department, said investigators do not suspect the burglaries at Spring Creek apartments, 777 E. 15th St., and the Rolling Green apartments, 400 E. Danforth, were committed by the same person.

Flat screen TVs were reported stolen from the units at Spring Creek, which is located near 15th Street and Rankin Street, and video game items were reported stolen from Rolling Green, which is near Danforth and Boulevard.

On Monday at 4:51 p.m. Police Officer Colter Morey was dispatched to an apartment at Spring Creek where a resident reported a $400 flat screen TV and a $300 subwoofer were missing, according to an incident report filed by Morey.

Colter responded to a second apartment in the complex where a resident reported a $1,200 flat screen TV and second TV also valued at $1,200 were missing.

Colter responded to a third apartment in the complex where a resident reported a $400 flat screen TV and $150 worth of costume jewelry were missing.

The doors at all three units had been kicked in, Colter stated.

On Monday at 12:53 p.m. Police Officer Kendall Miller was dispatched to an apartment in the Rolling Green complex where a resident reported two video game consoles valued at about $100 and several games valued at $60 were stolen, according to an incident report filed by Miller.

The victim reported that the door lock had been broken and the metal plate around the deadbolt lock on the door had been pried off and completely bent back so it could open, Miller stated.
