Frank L. Standifer, Sr., age 65, of Donalsonville, Ga., passed away Jan. 8, 2010 in Brooksville, Fla.

Funeral services were 3 p.m. Sunday Jan. 10, 2010 in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home officiated by Minister Rickey Eppes and Rev. Wade Bridges. Interment followed at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Colquitt, Ga., under the direction of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.

Mr. Standifer was born in Erick, Okla. on Jan. 30, 1944 to Hazel M. Riddle Standifer and the late Lawrence Boyd Standifer. He was of the Baptist faith and had served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Standifer was a truck driver.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Hazel M. Owen and her husband of Edmond, Okla., three sons, Frank Standifer Jr. and his wife Tommie Sue, and Owen Standifer, all of Colquitt, Ga., and Kevin Sconyers and his wife Jennifer of Shreveport., La; three daughters, Lori Sessions and her husband Darryl of Camden, Ala.; LeAnn Sapp and her husband Robert of WeekiWachee, Fla; and Tonya Cross and her husband Brad of Donalsonville, Ga.; one brother, Doyle G. Standifer and his wife Sharon of Edmond; and one sister, Peggy Forbes and her husband Dennis of Lebanon, Mo. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and a special friend, Jeanette Moates.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Boyd Standifer and his step-father, Ben Owen.

Casketbearers were Brad Cross, Louie Cross, Chris Moates, Isaac Bush, Justin Whittaker and Frank Barron.
