Certified Financial Planner practitioner Peggy Doviak will provide insight into financial topics and more during an interactive 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 event at Best of Books, 1313 E. Danforth in Edmond.
If she doesn’t address what’s keeping event attendees up at night, she’ll answer their questions during a Q & A session. Then the Norman resident will sign her new book, “52 Weeks to Prosperity – Ask Peggy Doviak: What Your Accountant, Banker, Broker & Financial Adviser Might Not Tell You.”
As an academic who is now teaching at Oklahoma State University, and her book will be used next semester at Oklahoma University in their “Life After OU” course, Doviak is dedicated to expanding financial literacy. She’ll answer these questions at her Edmond event: Do you have a clue how much you should be saving so you can retire and not have to eat beans? Do you know what business expenses you can deduct under the new tax law? And did you know that $20,000 birthday car you just gave your teenager could trigger a gift tax return?
This is the first of several events she’ll be doing in the metro area, all addressed to different demographic groups that need help.
