Oklahoma Christian Academy is hosting its first ever Children’s Business Fair from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, April 26 at the school grounds, 1101 E. Ninth St., in Edmond.

The business fair is open to the public. Cash is encouraged and parking is available on school grounds.

“We hope the community will come and support these young entrepreneurs,” a spokesperson for the craft fair said. “They have worked hard over the last few months and are looking forward to selling their wares. Just look for the big white tent on East Ninth Street!”

This unique business fair will feature homemade, handcrafted and published products created by second grade through sixth grade students.

The OCA Children’s Business Fair is modeled after the nationally acclaimed Acton Children’s Business Fair but features the added aspect of addressing and meeting one of the school’s global goals of no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well being, quality education, clean water, and life below water.

“This has been a wonderful opportunity for our younger students to brainstorm and develop a product to sell that contributes to a greater need,” Tatum said. “They have had to think about design, price points, materials, audiences, and marketing. Proceeds from their sales will benefit a charity of their choice that falls under the global goals.”

More than 20 different items will be available for sale. Included are the name of each “business” and products available: Scent Shack, car and room air fresheners; Poppies Flower Cart, succulents, herbs and locally grown flowers; CB Cake Pops, vanilla and chocolate cake pops; BJ Swag, custom T-shirts; K’s Aquariums, light up, glow in the dark aquariums; Levi Climbs, children’s book; Little Indian Makers, feather hair clips; Sweet Rocks, sugar crystal rock candy; Pillow Palace, decorative pillows; Taylor’s Pillows, decorative doll pillows and more; Birdy Nerdy, original bird related artwork; Slime Time, homemade slime; Fancy Ladies, handmade jewelry; Vida Tortuga, perler bead crafts/art; LuLo Lollipops, organic lollipops; Aced Slime, Fluffy homemade slime; Three Branches of Hope, paint poured artwork with inspirational quotes; Hope Jewels, custom, handmade jewelry; Blanket Bros. hand-tied fleece blankets; Coco & Sam’s Photo Stands, photo holders made from rock and metal; and Emma Starr Saves Fish, decorated homemade paper airplane.
