A special election has been called for April 3 for residents within the Oakdale C-29 School District to consider a bond issue.

The $4,735,000 issue would provide funds for constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings, acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment, and improving school sites.

The annual tax would be in addition to all other taxes upon all the taxable property in the district sufficient to pay the interest on bonds as it falls due and also to constitute a sinking fund for the payment for the principal when due, with bonds bearing interest not to exceed the rate of 10 percent per annum, payable semi-annually and to become due serially within 10 years from their date.
