OKLAHOMA CITY — The Health Alliance for the Uninsured announces the selection of Jeanean Yanish, MA, CFRE, to succeed Pamela Remmel as Executive Director, effective July 1. Remmel is retiring after 12years with the organization.

Yanish previously served as Executive Director of the Green Shoe Foundation and Oklahoma Christian School, as well as Director of Development for the Salvation Army. Yanish currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Charitable Clinic Association and is active in the Rotary Club of Edmond.

The Health Alliance for the Uninsured formed in 2006 to be a catalyst for improved access to, and quality of, health care services for those who would otherwise be unable to obtain them. Partnering with fifteen free or very low cost primary care clinics, the Health Alliance coordinates diagnostic tests, specialists visits and surgeries for thousands of individuals each year. The Health Alliance also increases access to prescription medications that are necessary for management of long-term illnesses, such as diabetes, heart and lung conditions, as well as acute conditions. The average wholesale price of medications provided exceeds $3 million annually.
