Edmond Police responded to a rash of business burglaries Sunday and Monday.

Police first were called to W.L. McNatt Construction at 2701 W. I-35 Frontage Road about 7 a.m. Sunday. Police noted someone made forced entry to the portable office building and took more than $6,900 in tools and equipment.

Police also report the latch that secured the door and two bars on a window had been broken.

Officers were called to the 70 block of East 33rd Street early Monday morning for a loud alarm at Namaste Indian Cuisine. Glass to the front door was broken and money and two diamond rings were taken from the cash register. The total of the cash and jewelry is estimated at about $1,900, the report states.

Next door to the restaurant, the glass door of the GNC Store also was broken. A regional manager for the store chain said less than $16 was missing from the cash register.
