AmBility Chairwoman Teresa Fritz and member June Cartwright presented The Edmond AMBUCS Club’s first adult AmTryke to Cody Black at Edmond Medical Center.

In May, Monty Courtney, Carole Fields and Cartwright took the AmTryke Trailer to Guthrie to work with therapist Lori McMillian at Camp Sunshine. The campers were adults who had experienced different types of brain trauma and injuries. They were a happy group with tremendous enthusiasm about their activities. The AMBUCS  had a great time and introduced the campers to the AmTrykes.

The mischievous and energetic Black was one of the young men the group met that day.

Over time and through the efforts of Fritz, the club’s AmBility chairman, the group was finally able to make Black’s dream of owning an AmTryke come true.

The AmTryke is a universal usage trike created to give mobility to people with disabilities.
